Vehicle Technician required for a busy independent garage in the heart of Glossop to join our team. We repair and maintain all makes of vehicles but are also a well respected Authorised Saab Service Centre.
You must be able to work alone and as part of a team, carrying out a wide range of repairs from servicing and brakes to clutches, timing belts/chain and engine repairs including diagnosing and repairing faults.
We have modern equipment including Air Conditioning Machines, Tyre fitting equipment and Bluetooth four wheel alignment equipment. You must have good time management and communication skills.
A friendly, enthusiastic, easy going team player who knows how to interact with fellow employees, and customers when required would be a great addition to our team.
- Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.30 with occasional Saturdays

Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for repairs and maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues effectively
- Experience in performing routine maintenance and inspections
- Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in a workshop environment
- A Level 3 Qualification or Accreditation (NVQ, IMI or C&G) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
- We are looking for a current fully qualified vehicle technician with at least 3 years’ experience and have a proven track record of quality workmanship or time served
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own set of tools

- Communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
- Maintain a valid driving license to test drive vehicles as necessary.
