CHEFS WANTED!
The Carpenters Arms, Stanton Wick is looking for TWO CHEFS of junior/senior CdP level to join our kitchen team.
If you’ve got a couple of years’ kitchen experience, love cooking good food and want to work somewhere that actually gives a damn about its staff… keep reading!
WHAT WE’RE ABOUT
We’re a proper, established country pub with rooms, serving fresh, local food alongside the pub classics people know and love.
We’ve been under the same ownership for 45 years, so we know a thing or two about running a good pub!
Our kitchen is busy, friendly and definitely not corporate. We like chefs who care about what comes out of the kitchen, enjoy creating dishes and aren’t afraid to have a laugh along the way.
Good food. Good team. Good sense of humour.
That last one is important!
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll need to:
- Know your way around a kitchen
- Have a good understanding of food hygiene
- Be hardworking and reliable
- Take pride in your food
- Care about your teammates
- Get stuck in when things get busy
- And, preferably, be able to take a joke!
WHAT YOU GET
£28K–£32K depending on age & experience
Hourly rate possible if preferred

THE HONEST BIT…
We’re about 10 miles south of Bath and Bristol, so you’ll probably need your own transport.
Public transport is limited and doesn’t really work with our finishing times.
We also work split shifts, generally:
10am–3pm / 5.30pm–9pm
There may be some straight-shift flexibility once we’ve got to know you and worked out what suits everyone.
