Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Line Team Leader to join our team at Destiny Foods. Located in Great Britain, this role is essential in ensuring that our high-quality dessert products are packed efficiently and accurately for distribution. Your contributions will help us maintain our reputation as a leading supplier in the industry.
Purpose
To manufacture a range of high-quality bakery and patisserie products. To ensure smooth operation on the production line, to help meet output targets.This role reports directly to the High Care Manager.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, weigh, mix, process and pack bakery and patisserie products in line with production plans and customer requirements.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required to support the needs of the business.
- Operate production equipment and machinery safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Check products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet quality, weight, sealing, labelling and specification requirements.
- Monitor raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products, reporting any quality or product concerns promptly.
- Ensure products are packed, stacked, palletised and prepared for dispatch correctly and safely.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping by following cleaning schedules and adhering to the "Clean as You Go" policy.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, environmental and quality management procedures at all times.
- Wear and maintain appropriate PPE and work in a safe manner to protect yourself and others.
- Report equipment faults, malfunctions, damaged machinery or process issues promptly to the appropriate person.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to achieve production targets and maintain operational efficiency.
- Participate in training, continuous improvement activities and initiatives that enhance performance, quality and safety.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions, specifications, and standard operating procedures accurately.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, quality, and health & safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment whilst maintaining productivity and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and shifts.
- Reliable, flexible, and proactive, with a positive attitude towards learning and continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working within a food manufacturing, bakery, or production environment.
- Experience operating production machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety principles, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), or related standards.
- Understanding of quality control processes and product inspection requirements.
- Relevant food hygiene, manufacturing, or health and safety training or qualifications
