ORA Dental | Edgbaston, Birmingham
Initially 1 day per month | Opportunity to grow to 2 days per month
Join a Different Kind of Private Dental Practice. ORA Dental is looking for an experienced and ambitious Orthodontist to join our growing multidisciplinary private practice in Edgbaston.
ORA has been built around a simple objective: to deliver exceptional dentistry within an environment where clinical quality, technology, patient experience and service are considered at every stage of the journey.
We are a modern, premium private clinic with a strong cosmetic and restorative focus, cutting-edge digital technology and carefully constructed patient workflows. As the practice continues to grow, we are now looking to develop our orthodontic offering with the right clinician.
The position will initially be one dedicated day per month, with the intention of developing the patient base and increasing this to two days per month as demand grows.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to establish and develop the orthodontic arm of a growing private practice rather than simply inherit a fixed orthodontic diary.
You will work alongside our existing dentists and clinical team, providing specialist orthodontic assessment, treatment planning and treatment for patients requiring more comprehensive orthodontic care.
We want to create a strong internal referral pathway so that appropriate patients can remain within ORA throughout their treatment journey, while giving our general and cosmetic dentists direct access to specialist orthodontic input when planning multidisciplinary cases.
The role will include:
- Orthodontic consultations and assessments
- Comprehensive orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning
- Fixed and removable orthodontic treatment where appropriate
- Clear aligner treatment and management of more complex aligner cases
- Adult orthodontics and aesthetically focused treatment
- Multidisciplinary treatment planning alongside restorative and cosmetic clinicians
- Pre-restorative and pre-cosmetic orthodontics
- Reviewing and managing patients throughout their orthodontic journey
- Providing clear, considered communication to patients regarding their options, expectations and treatment
- Helping develop ORA's longer-term orthodontic service and clinical pathways
A Premium Clinical Environment
ORA is designed to allow clinicians to deliver dentistry at a high level.
Our practice combines fully digital workflows, advanced diagnostic and treatment technology and carefully designed clinical systems with a strong emphasis on the overall patient experience.
Our approach is deliberately patient-led. From the initial enquiry and consultation through treatment planning, delivery and aftercare, the workflow has been structured to provide patients with a seamless and highly professional experience.
You will be joining an established private clinic rather than being expected to create the infrastructure around you.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines excellent clinical standards with the communication skills expected within a premium private environment.
The successful candidate will ideally:
- Be GDC registered
- Have strong experience in private adult and teen orthodontics
- Be confident managing both straightforward and complex orthodontic cases
- Have experience with fixed appliances and clear aligner systems
- Be comfortable collaborating on multidisciplinary cosmetic and restorative cases
- Have excellent patient communication and treatment-planning skills
- Take pride in clinical photography, documentation and presentation
- Have a strong focus on patient experience and long-term clinical outcomes
- Work collaboratively as part of a wider clinical team
Experience within a high-end private or specialist environment would be advantageous.
Working Pattern
Initial commitment: 1 day per month
Growth opportunity: Increasing to 2 days per month as the orthodontic diary develops
Day: Thursday
Hours: 9am - 6.30pm
We are particularly interested in finding a clinician who wants to develop a long-term relationship with the practice and grow the orthodontic service alongside us.
Remuneration Split: 40%-50%
Final remuneration can be discussed depending on experience, scope of treatment and the agreed clinical arrangement. Our priority is to create a structure that provides the clinician with attractive earning potential while supporting the long-term growth of a substantial private orthodontic patient base.
