About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Quality & Technical Administrator to join our busy manufacturing team. This is a varied role supporting both the general office functions and our quality department, making it ideal for someone who enjoys administration, customer interaction, and ensuring documentation is accurate and maintained.
Experience within a manufacturing environment would be very advantageous, particularly within engineering, aerospace, or a quality-controlled environment, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Booking customer work into internal systems and coordinating incoming jobs.
- Providing general office administration support.
Supporting the Quality Director with:
- Contract reviews.
- Non-conformance reviews.
- Maintaining accurate quality records and document trails.
- Ensuring supporting paperwork is complete and correctly maintained.
- Reviewing customer specifications and documentation to ensure requirements are understood and met.
- Checking and maintaining customer paperwork, records, and technical documentation.
- Liaising with customers professionally by telephone and email.
- Preparing, editing, and managing documents using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat PDF Editor.
- Maintaining organised filing systems and accurate records.
- Supporting other departments with administrative tasks as required.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Excellent computer literacy and confidence using IT systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat PDF Editor.
- Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service or customer relationship experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Sage software (particularly Sage 50) would be advantageous.
- Experience working within a quality, engineering, or production administration role.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience reviewing customer specifications, engineering drawings, or technical documentation.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
