Duties
- Assist groomers with handling dogs safely and gently throughout the grooming process
- Prepare grooming stations by cleaning and organizing tools and supplies
- Help with bathing, drying, brushing, and trimming dogs according to grooming standards
- Monitor dogs’ behavior to ensure their safety and comfort during grooming sessions
- Support with heavy lifting tasks such as moving large or energetic dogs into grooming areas
- Maintain cleanliness of workspaces and sterilize equipment after each use
- Provide excellent customer service by answering client questions and updating pet owners on their pets’ progress
Skills
- Prior experience with veterinary or animal care is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when needed for larger dogs or equipment
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards are met
- Energetic attitude with a genuine love for animals and eagerness to learn more about grooming techniques
