Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented School Cleaner to join our team in Astwood Bank. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive learning environment by ensuring school premises are clean, hygienic, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will bring experience in commercial cleaning and janitorial work, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks across school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Empty bins, dispose of waste responsibly, and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Clean windows, surfaces, floors, and fixtures to uphold a spotless environment
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during cleaning activities
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel promptly
- Maintain a tidy storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within scheduled timescales
- Good communication skills and reliability are essential
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices
- Previous experience working in educational or similar environments is advantageous
