This Is a Sales Job
If you love being on the phone, love closing deals, and want your payslip to reflect how hard you work, keep reading. If not, this isn't for you.
We're Motorlet, a fast-growing online vehicle leasing broker based in the centre of Royston, working with private customers (B2C) and businesses (B2B) across the UK. We generate a serious volume of warm, inbound enquiries - real people who want a car - and we need hungry, professional salespeople to pick up the phone and turn those enquiries into deals.
Commission is uncapped. No thresholds that move, no fine print, no ceiling. The more you close, the more you earn. Our realistic Year 1 OTE is £60–70k, and our top performers are earning more.
The Role
This is a full-cycle, phone-heavy sales role. You'll spend the bulk of your day on calls: speaking to inbound enquiries fast, qualifying properly, quoting, chasing, negotiating, and closing. You own the deal from first call to delivery.
You'll be trusted to run your own pipeline like a professional - no scripts, no micromanagement, no one holding your hand. Just a busy desk, a steady flow of leads, and the tools to earn well.
This is all done in our office, where it's a fast-paced, great place to be, where our main aims are to help customers get the best possible outcome, have a laugh, and hit our numbers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Getting on the phone to every inbound B2B and B2C leasing enquiry
- Qualifying customers properly: needs, budget, suitability for leasing
- Running a live pipeline of multiple deals at different stages and knowing exactly where each one sits
- Producing sharp, accurate quotations and following up properly.
- Negotiating with dealers and funders to squeeze the best possible outcome for our customers.
- Hitting monthly targets
- Keeping your CRM clean and up to date
- Working with the wider sales and operations team to get your deals delivered smoothly
What We're Looking For
- Proven B2B and/or B2C sales experience (automotive, finance, or phone-based sales a big plus)
- Someone who's genuinely money-motivated and wants uncapped earnings, not a comfortable base
- High call volume doesn't scare you
- Exceptionally organised, with strong pipeline and follow-up discipline
- A confident communicator who builds rapport in the first 10 seconds
- Comfortable handling objections, negotiating, and juggling multiple live deals
- Sharp attention to detail - admin accuracy really matters here
- Self-motivated, proactive, and fully accountable for your own numbers
This Role Is NOT For You If:
- You want a heavily scripted, call-centre style job where someone tells you what to say
- You'd rather send emails than pick up the phone
- You struggle to stay organised or need someone else chasing your follow-ups
- You dislike managing multiple live deals at once
- You get uncomfortable when your name is on a target
- You need close day-to-day supervision to stay on track
- You're after an easy ride, a cosy base salary, or a role where "good enough" is acceptable
This is a role for someone who wants to crack on, get on the phones, close business, and earn properly. If you've thrived in a sales environment where activity, consistency and competence got rewarded - you'll do very well here.
Progression
There's a clear path to Senior Consultant for anyone who consistently performs, manages their pipeline properly, and adds value to the wider team. We promote people who prove it.
What You'll Get
- £25,000 base salary + uncapped commission
- Realistic OTE of £60–70k in Year 1
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Your birthday off
- Christmas shutdown
- Summer party
- Pension scheme
- No weekend work
- Early Friday finishes (performance-based)
- Christmas & summer socials
