We are recruiting for a Part-Time Catering Assistant – Caribbean Sunday Brunch & Events.
Location: East London.
Pay: £13.50 per hour.
Hours: Part-time – Sundays, with occasional evening and weekend events.
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to help prepare, heat, present and serve authentic Caribbean food for our popular Sunday brunch and occasional private or corporate events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and reheat pre-cooked Caribbean dishes in line with food safety standards.
- Portion, garnish and present food for service.
- Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen and serving area.
- Follow food safety procedures, including the safe handling of chilled and frozen food. (Food is prepared by our chef and frozen for up to 48 hours before service.)
- Assist with setting up and clearing down events.
- Support the chef and wider catering team as required.
Essential Requirements
- Valid Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate (Level 2 or equivalent).
- Good knowledge and understanding of Caribbean cuisine.
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality or food service is preferred.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Friendly with excellent customer service skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
