We are recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of one of our clients—an established global leader with over 25 years’ experience in the manufacture, supply, and distribution of approved domestic meter housings, industrial/commercial kiosks, and network access infrastructure. Recognised as the No. 1 choice across the UK and Ireland, our client supplies all major utility companies and house builders, delivering products that meet the highest standards including BS8499, BS8567, and IGE/GM specifications.

The Role: Production Operative
As a Production Operative, you will help deliver high-quality products used across gas, electricity, and wider utility sectors. This is a fast-paced environment, requiring accuracy, teamwork, and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a variety of production tasks to meet daily targets
- Operate power tools, machinery, and presses safely and efficiently
- Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with BS8499, BS8567, IGE/GM and internal standards
- Follow all established Health, Safety & Environmental procedures
- Support engineering, logistics, and customer-related tasks where needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to maintain production efficiency
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have experience in manufacturing, production, engineering, or similar environments
- Have previously used power tools and machine presses
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Are committed, reliable, and work well as part of a team
- Understand the importance of quality, safety, and compliance
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Location Requirements
- ST8 applicants must be able to drive and have their own vehicle. This is essential due to the site location and is a dealbreaker.
- ST5 applicants must be reliable and able to work effectively within a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.23-£15.17 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
