Location
The role is mainly based across the North East. Work is carried out at various customer sites, and the location will usually be different each day. Occasional travel and overnight stays at sites throughout the UK will also be required.
This role is ideally suited to someone living in the local area, as you will normally be picked up and dropped off each day.

Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced Ductwork Cleaning Operative to join our team.
The role involves carrying out hands-on kitchen extract and ventilation cleaning at commercial premises. Previous kitchen extract or grease ductwork cleaning experience is essential.
The work can be physically demanding and may involve working at height, early mornings, evenings, weekends and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out kitchen extract and ventilation ductwork cleaning
- Clean canopies, grease filters, fans and associated equipment
- Assist with the installation of ductwork access panels
- Complete all work in accordance with TR19 Grease requirements
- Take photographs and assist with job reports and documentation
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Travel to different customer sites across the North East and occasionally elsewhere in the UK
Essential Requirements
- Previous kitchen extract or grease ductwork cleaning experience
- Knowledge of kitchen extract and ventilation cleaning procedures
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working at height and carrying out physically demanding work
- Willing to travel to different locations each day
- Willing to travel and stay overnight when required
- Flexible regarding working hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Driving Licence and Pay
- £15.00 per hour for applicants with a full UK driving licence
- Applicants without a driving licence may still be considered, with the hourly rate to be negotiated
Desirable but Not Essential
- TR19 Grease Hygiene Training Certificate or similar
- Experience completing cleaning reports to TR19 Grease specifications
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
What We Offer
- Minimum of 40 paid hours guaranteed per week, based on a standard five-day working week
- Night shifts and work away from home subject to a guaranteed minimum of eight hours’ pay per shift, inclusive of travel time
- £25 daily tax-free meal allowance for overnight stays
- 28 days’ holiday per year, including bank holidays
- Hotel accommodation provided; rooms may be shared with colleagues
- Weekly pay every Friday, one week in arrears
