Finance & Executive Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Westbury-on-Severn, Gloucestershire
Hours: 25 hours per week (Flexible between 10:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday)
Salary: £16-20 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time
About the Role
We are looking for an organised, proactive and highly trustworthy Finance & Executive Assistant to support a successful business owner who manages a portfolio of growing businesses.
This is a varied role that combines finance, administration and executive support. Working closely with the business owner and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of multiple businesses.
The successful candidate will enjoy taking ownership of their work, improving processes and managing a wide variety of tasks. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and working in a fast-paced environment.
This role is based from a private office and offers flexible part-time hours, making it well suited to someone seeking a rewarding role around school hours.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinance
- Process purchase invoices, sales invoices and supplier payments.
- Complete bank reconciliations across multiple companies.
- Manage company credit card and expense reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Assist with cash flow monitoring and budget tracking.
- Prepare financial information for external accountants.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Help identify opportunities to improve financial systems and processes.
Executive & Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day executive support to the business owner.
- Manage diaries, appointments and meeting arrangements where required.
- Coordinate projects across multiple businesses.
- Liaise professionally with suppliers, customers and external advisers.
- Maintain confidential business records and documentation.
- Assist with general business administration and operational tasks.
About You
You are naturally organised, enjoy solving problems and take pride in producing accurate work. You are comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities and handling confidential information with complete discretion.
You'll also bring:
- Previous experience in a finance, bookkeeping or accounts role.
- Experience providing administrative or executive support.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A proactive, positive approach with the ability to use your own initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Experience using Sage 50, QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- The ability to improve processes and work efficiently across multiple businesses.
