SNS Repair Services is a busy, family-run garage specialising in cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of vehicle repairs, servicing, and diagnostic work while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Perform engine repairs, timing belt and timing chain replacements, clutch replacements, and general vehicle repairs.
- Complete vehicle inspections and accurately identify additional work required.
- Use diagnostic equipment to investigate faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer standards and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Complete job cards and paperwork accurately.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (preferred but not essential for experienced candidates).
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on vans and commercial vehicles would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence required.
