Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Overnight Sleeping Care Assistant to provide essential overnight support in a caring home environment. This role involves staying overnight to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents, offering a calm and reassuring presence during the night hours. The ideal candidate will be proactive, attentive, and able to respond promptly to any needs or emergencies that may arise. This position is vital in creating a secure and nurturing environment where residents feel cared for around the clock.
Responsibilities
- Remain alert throughout the night to monitor residents’ safety and comfort.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any calls or emergencies from residents or other staff members.
- Follow care plans meticulously to meet individual needs, including assistance with personal care if required.
- Maintain accurate records of overnight activities, incidents, and any changes in residents’ conditions.
- Ensure the environment remains safe, clean, and comfortable for all residents during your shift.
- Communicate clearly with daytime staff about any overnight developments or concerns.
- Support residents with light household tasks as needed, such as tidying communal areas or preparing for morning routines.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, colleagues, and emergency services.
- Experience working in a care home or home care environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and attentively.
- Good IT skills for maintaining records and documentation efficiently.
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation needs or errands if required.
- Fluency in English to ensure clear understanding and communication.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards vulnerable individuals.
