We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in need, including seniors and children, in various settings such as assisted living facilities and home care environments. Duties
- Deliver personal care services including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to aid clients with mobility issues.
- Support childcare needs for families requiring assistance with their children.
- Administer first aid as needed and ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Previous experience in care work or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of assisted living practices and senior care is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- First aid certification is desirable; training may be provided if necessary.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when required.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
