Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Gym Manager to oversee daily operations at our fitness centre. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a passion for health and wellness, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest services. The Gym Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and fostering a welcoming environment for all members.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the gym, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Lead, motivate, and supervise staff to deliver outstanding guest services and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Develop and implement programmes to increase member engagement and retention
- Manage membership enquiries, sign-ups, cancellations, and renewals with professionalism and courtesy
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for gym equipment and facilities to ensure safety and operational efficiency
- Monitor health and safety compliance in accordance with industry regulations and company policies
- Handle customer feedback promptly, resolving issues effectively to uphold the centre’s reputation
- Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and ongoing professional development initiatives
- Promote a positive environment that encourages health, fitness, and community spirit
Skills
- Proven management experience within a hospitality or fitness environment
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on guest services and team leadership
- Knowledge of health & safety standards relevant to gym operations
- Ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team atmosphere
- Good problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
