SNB are the largest UK based independent supplier of bespoke product inspection equipment in the UK. The product inspection SNB offer includes metal detection, x-ray, and check weighing systems, which are manufactured at our head office in Sherburn in Elmet. Each system is bespoke to the customers requirements, application and product, therefore this role offers the applicant a diverse role. Our bespoke systems are manufactured for different environments such as food, chemical, pharmaceutical, packaging and textile industries. We are proud to work with the leading manufacturers within the UK's food industry.
Working as part of a small team the key requirement is to assemble and wire the electrical control panels that are used across the Company’s product range. In addition you will also be required to complete upgrades, repairs and testing of the range of systems we supply.
All work will need to be completed to a high quality standard and to the current good practises. In addition you will be required to support all aspects of the SNB Southern team’s activity as business needs dictates. This will include deliveries and collections of equipment using the Company’s vehicle.
Priority Responsibilities:
· To be able to follow electrical schematics.
· Able to install electrical components and pre dill electrical enclosures as set out in the drawings.
· Must be prepared to learn a diverse range of products.
· Completing all paperwork accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with the company procedures.
· Competent in testing equipment; mulit meters.
· Ability to work independently within various environments.
· Expected to co-operate with working over time as and when required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
· Experienced in a panel wirers' role.
· Good electrical or electronic skills.
· Hands on approach, to solving electrical fault finding.
· Methodical approach to problem solving.
· Willing and able to travel to different customer sites.
· IT literate, Windows, Excel and Word.
· Full UK driving licence.
· Good communication skills.
Desirable skills:
· Knowledge of food manufacturing.
· Experience of working with conveyor systems.
· Experience in the use of Auto CAD.
· PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware
