Restaurant Manager
Location: Portsmouth
Employment Type: Full-Time 45 hours per week

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven Restaurant Manager to lead our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all facets of our restaurant's daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, managing staff performance, and driving profitability in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Daily Operations Management: Oversee all front-of-house, ensuring operational efficiency and high standards are consistently met.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise all restaurant staff.
- Develop weekly schedules, manage labour costs,
- Mentor staff, conduct performance reviews, and foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.
- Customer Experience: Ensure a consistently high level of guest satisfaction, handle customer complaints professionally, and monitor online reviews and feedback channels.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor budget adherence, control inventory and operational costs, and collaborate with ownership to meet sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Inventory & Supplier Management: Manage stock levels, place orders with suppliers
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to all health, safety & food safety standards
- Marketing & Sales: Assist in developing and implementing marketing initiatives, specials, and events to attract new customers and ensure repeat business.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of [1-2] years of proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of restaurant operations, including P&L management, POS systems Square
- Skills:
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, email, scheduling software)..
- Availability:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as the demands of the business require.
