Duties
- Greet patients warmly, assist with appointment scheduling, and manage the reception area to ensure smooth patient flow
- Maintain accurate patient records, update appointment schedules, and process payments efficiently
- Support the clinical team by preparing examination rooms, cleaning equipment, and managing inventory of optical supplies
- Answer phone inquiries promptly, provide information about services, triage appointments and coordinate follow-up appointments
- maintaining a clean workspace and help maintain the cleanliness of the practice
Requirements
- Previous experience in an optical or healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor both in person and on the phone
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence when needed
- Basic computer literacy for managing electronic health records and scheduling systems and emailing
- A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to deliver outstanding patient service
- be willing to cover other staff for holidays/leave
