We are seeking a skilled and dependable Motor Mechanic to join our team. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults or issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components.
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical parts.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using specialised equipment and techniques.
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when handling engine parts or vehicle components.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist in the ordering of parts and supplies needed for repairs.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a good understanding of vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
- Experience with power tools relevant to vehicle repair tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple repair jobs effectively.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
