The successful candidate will have strong organisation skills, strong interpersonal skills and be able to multi-task in a busy purchasing office environment.

About the Role
As a Buyer, you will support and work closely with the purchasing team and our stores, assist with processing orders and shipments in a timely and cost-efficient manner, providing information to EPOS (Electronic Point of Sales) team and ensuring the data and pricing on the system is accurate at all times.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Carry out product sourcing and cost negotiation for the assigned categories / products.
- Manage and establish good relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive price, stable supply, and extra support.
- Work with suppliers to plan and execute promotional campaigns to drive sales
- Prepare stock plans, handling P.O. and follow up shipments with suppliers.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance.
- Analyse sales and evaluating product performance.
- Regularly review and maintain existing product information, price comparisons, and any other purchasing related tasks using Microsoft Excel and give recommendations.
- Carry out regular store visits, work collaboratively with the stores to ensure all tasks including inventory control and product display are well executed.
- Regularly review inventory levels by store.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues independently.
- Regularly survey market in person, be aware of competition and market trends/ activity, with recommendations to ensure that the category/product is performing.
- Receive and respond timely to emails using Microsoft Outlook
- Carry out daily ad hoc duties such as data entry and maintenance of filing systems
- Support other departments when required
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks, as required by senior management
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year FMCG experience
- Good communication skills
- Strong written and verbal skills in English and Chinese are essential
- Proficient in the use of MS office applications
- Numerate with strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task when needed
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)
