Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of organisation, and a commitment to customer service. Experience with commercial driving and flatbed deliveries is highly desirable.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and timeliness
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt of goods
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries made and any issues encountered
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating large vehicles.
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations within the area of operation
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading goods
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to ensure punctuality
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
