WE ARE SEEKING A FULL-TIME CLINICAL LEAD
Hours available: FULL TIME
Salary: £55,000.00 per year
Working hours: 37.5 contracted hours, working up to 40 hours per week
Working pattern: 5 days per week, including alternate weekends
Location: Wey Meadows Care Home – (Elstead, Near Farnham)
CHD Living is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Clinical Lead (RGN) to join our new care home at Wey Meadows.
Established in 1984, CHD Living is a family-owned group of care services in Surrey and South London.
Job Purpose:
As Clinical Lead, you will be a key member of the Home’s Management Team, with responsibility for supporting the management, direction and delivery of high-quality clinical care and maintaining high clinical standards throughout the home.
The role will include a combination of clinical hours working on the floor and supernumerary hours, allowing you to provide clinical leadership while remaining involved in the direct care of residents.
You will be required to work 5 days per week, including alternate weekends.
Professional Qualification
- Registered General Nurse (RGN)
- Current registration with the NMC and valid NMC PIN
- Maintaining and following the NMC revalidation process
- Requiring to hold NVQ in leadership or working toward it.
Experience of
- Demonstrating and maintaining specialist knowledge, relevant qualifications and clinical skills necessary for the role.
- Delivering a good quality, person-centred service for residents, in line with legislative, regulatory and Fundamental Care Standards.
- Providing clinical leadership and support to nursing and care staff.
- Implementing policies and procedures, including health and safety, effectively.
- Supporting staff with induction, probationary reviews, regular supervisions and ongoing development.
- Supervising staff, involving staff in decision-making and providing guidance where required.
- Addressing problems, including performance issues, constructively and making appropriate decisions.
- Working constructively as part of the Home Management Team.
- Maintaining high standards of clinical care and supporting continuous improvement within the home.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards, Health & Safety, COSHH, manual handling, infection control and good hygiene.
- Understanding of safeguarding people at risk.
- Good clinical knowledge and ability to recognise and respond appropriately to changes in residents' health.
- Ability to identify risks in the working environment and knowledge to minimise and manage risks.
- Good communication, organisational and leadership skills.
