Duties
- Monitor residents or clients overnight, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Respond promptly and effectively to any calls for assistance or emergencies during the night
- Assist with personal care tasks such as repositioning or helping with toileting if required
- Maintain accurate records of any incidents, observations, or care provided during your shift
- Communicate clearly with team members and healthcare professionals about any concerns or changes in condition
- Ensure the environment remains safe and secure by conducting regular checks of the premises
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, colleagues, and external professionals
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care
- Basic IT skills for recording observations and updating care plans electronically
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals’ well-being
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a regular basis
