The Neurological Rehabilitation Physiotherapist will be an essential member of our team that supports the delivery of therapy services to children, adults and their families.
Our team supports clients ranging from 0 years into adulthood and beyond.
They will work under the supervision of the Director and Practice Manager and will be responsible for an agreed specific caseload. The physiotherapist will be required to work in Let’s Go Physio’s clinic in Nelson and at various locations in the community e.g. schools, nurseries, home visits and at various hydrotherapy locations.
Duties
- To provide neurological physiotherapy assessments, treatments and goal setting to a designated caseload of patients
- To treat clients on and in hydrotherapy
- To review and report on assessments, treatments and patient goals
- To liaise with other health care professionals, carers and relatives
- To provide education and training as required
- To participate in CPD and other developmental activities
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of current best practices in neurological rehabilitation
- Expertise in a wide range of approaches for managing patients with complex neurological conditions
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments, goal setting, and treatment planning for complex cases
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of relevant national policies and procedures
- Understanding of clinical governance and audit principles
- Good IT and Keyboard skills
