Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food presentation under the supervision of senior kitchen staff
- Support the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment and workstations to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Help with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to during food handling and storage
- Assist with serving meals to customers or staff as required
- Restock supplies and ingredients to maintain smooth kitchen operations
- Support the team during busy periods by helping with various kitchen tasks as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in catering, cooking, or a restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; a keen interest in culinary arts is important
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- Basic skills in meal preparation, food handling, and kitchen organisation
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
