Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children in a nurturing environment. This role involves working closely with children to support their development, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering a love for learning.
Duties
- Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment indoors and outdoors for the children.
- Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through play-based activities.
- Observe children's progress, help assess their learning, and plan next steps.
- Champion individual children, fostering their confidence and independence.
- Assist with daily routines like mealtimes, snacks, and hygiene (nappy changing).
- Ensure the nursery meets all health and safety standards and Ofsted requirements.
- Adhere to safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Respond to emergencies, accidents, and incidents.
- Prepare and maintain a clean and tidy learning environment and equipment.
- Assist with trips and outings, ensuring safety for all involved.
- Support the wider staff team and cover for absences or holidays.
- Develop strong relationships with parents/carers to involve them in their child's development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other professional
- Complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship, including functional skills
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and relevant courses.
- Work towards completing the apprenticeship framework.
Job Types: Part-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: £8.00-£12.21 per hour
