We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment to create high-quality drinks, ensuring barista skills are utilised effectively.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to meet customer demands while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory; barista experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
