Focused targets. Substantial earning potential. A genuine pathway to build and lead your own team.
Self Employed - Commission-led | Discretionary Basic Salary | Flexible Remote Working | Periodic London office working | Full company support
Stringstone Ltd is expanding its private client division and is seeking ambitious, articulate critical thinkers to help build its third sales team. This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual who wants more than a conventional sales role: the freedom to shape their own approach, contribute ideas, improve how the team operates and progress into leadership - with the backing of a committed company.
Our product is genuinely distinctive: a private intelligence and advisory service delivering timely, carefully researched information and perspectives that clients may not routinely encounter through mainstream channels.
Why this opportunity stands out
- High-value earning opportunity: commission-led rewards with no fixed earnings ceiling.
- Quality over volume: focused, achievable targets rather than a high-volume call-centre model.
- Leadership pathway: demonstrate results and the ability to develop others, and be invited to build and lead your own team.
- Progression for top performers: discretionary basic-salary package offered when moving into a team leadership role.
- Infrastructure to grow: suitable team leaders may be provided with dedicated office and team space.
- Company backing: qualified leads, product training, onboarding, research support and senior guidance provided.
The role
This is consultative, relationship-led business development - not transactional or high-pressure selling. You will engage sophisticated prospective clients who expect discretion, preparation and an intelligent conversation.
- You will introduce this service to high-net-worth individuals and senior decision-makers through informed, credible and thoughtful conversations.
- Through targeted research build a concise prospect profile using the information provided, current affairs and relevant commercial or personal context.
- Develop trust, understand the prospect's priorities and present the service with clarity and credibility.
- Manage your own schedule and pipeline while meeting agreed research, activity and sales expectations.
- Where appropriate, collaborate with colleagues across research, opening and closing stages of the sale.
What we are looking for
Formal sales experience is welcomed but not essential. We are more interested in how you think, communicate and respond to opportunity.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a critical, independent mind - willing to question assumptions and the status quo constructively, able tosuggest a better way forward.
- Open, honest and principled communication, with the confidence to raise concerns, exchange ideas and welcome thoughtful challenge.
- A true team-player mentality: able to recognise colleagues' core skills and bring the right strengths together for each task.
- Natural leadership qualities and the potential to recruit, motivate and develop a team.
- An excellent speaking voice - clear, concise and credible - together with the maturity and discretion required by sophisticated private clients.
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn across subjects ranging from geopolitics and finance to technology, health and global affairs.
- Professional written English and the discipline to produce useful prospect reports.
- Genuine flexibility when working across international time zones, particularly when engaging internationallybased prospects.
Support, leads and working pattern
We provide comprehensive leads, structured onboarding, product training, promotional material, research assistance and senior support. The role is primarily remote and self-managed, with periodic London office attendance - typically one to four times per month - and client meetings where appropriate.
Reward and progression
The initial opportunity is self-employed and commission-led, with arrangements confirmed during selection; commission may be shared where colleagues contribute to research, opening and closing a sale. Proven performers who can build and manage a successful team will be considered for leadership and, at the company's discretion, a basic-salary package and dedicated office/team space.
Selection process
A short introductory call is followed by a focused interview. Successful candidates enter an Initial Assessment Period and will receive our sensitive Onboarding Pack.
