Duties
- Assist with food preparation by washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients efficiently and safely
- Support cooking processes by setting up stations, measuring ingredients, and following recipes under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area including counters, utensils, equipment, and storage spaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Serve food to guests or customers in a courteous and professional manner when required
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen well-equipped for daily operations
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience working in fast-paced environments where teamwork and efficiency are essential
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, ovens, and refrigeration units
