We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Our Maintenance team positively promote excellent maintenance standards within and around the home, supporting the Home Managers to provide a safe, comfortable and high quality environment for our residents with learning disabilities.
Working under the direction of the Head of Maintenance you will support with:
- The upkeep of the Care Homes and surrounding grounds, undertaking planned and reactive maintenance inside and outside the homes
- Ensuring the smooth operation of all critical services such as heating, lighting, plumbing etc for the safe and efficient operation of the Homes
- Maintaining the fabric and decoration of the homes to a high standard
- Maintaining the homes exterior including fencing, pathways and driveways
- Able to assemble /install new equipment/goods delivered to the homes
To succeed you will:
- be able to work unsupervised at times
- be able to carry out a wide range of repairs
- have a good range of maintenance skills
- be able to work well in a team and support our managers to maintain their homes to a high standard
- be able to work in a setting with vulnerable adults and children, communicating with them appropriately and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
