Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Forklift Truck Driver/General Farm Worker to join our agricultural operations. This role involves operating forklifts in our potato store and other machinery seasonally.
A strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a willingness to undertake diverse duties are essential for this position.
Duties
- Operate forklifts safely to move goods, stack boxes, and harvested crops around the potato store.
- Perform general farm tasks as required.
- Use hand tools and power tools for equipment repairs, maintenance, and general farm improvements.
- Conduct basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
- Assist with potato rouging outdoors in the summer.
- Seasonally operating tractors, trailers and various equipment
- Apply basic maths skills for inventory management and measurement tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to ensure standards are met.
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a farm or industrial setting is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform minor repairs on equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking across uneven terrain.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance routines to ensure operational efficiency.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
