Role Description
We are seeking a Senior field service engineer to join our UK operations team. Based in the United Kingdom, covering a set territory which plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction of our reverse vending machine (RVM) installations. As the UK operation continues to scale this role has the potential to develop into a leadership position that helps shape the UK field service organisation as it grows.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of reverse vending machines located primarily in retail stores. This includes attending breakdowns, carrying out preventive maintenance, commissioning new equipment, and supporting customers with technical training and guidance.
You will also ensure all work is completed safely and compliantly, producing accurate service reports, risk assessments, and method statements using company-provided digital tools. As a senior engineer, you will be expected to demonstrate strong diagnostic capability, take ownership of issues through to resolution, and represent RVM Systems professionally with customers and partners.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Perform regular servicing and maintenance of recycling equipment.
- Attend breakdowns and complete timely, professional repairs on-site.
- Install, decommission, and provide training on equipment for safe usage.
- Produce risk assessments, and method statements, and maintain compliance records.
- Submit accurate work reports via the provided electronic device.
- Maintain safety standards and complete regular housekeeping records.
- Complete on-site system audits and evaluations.
Skills and Experience requirements:
- Previous team lead experience is mandatory
- Good knowledge of mechanical and electronic processes required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 5+ years installing and maintaining machines
- Expertise in mechanical, electrical, vending systems or ePOS network setup advantageous
- Proficient in email and online platforms; capable of completing online inductions.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability may be required (Rotational)
- Flexible working arrangements are available
- Fully equipped company van or suitable transport dependant on region
- Employees are provided with work phones, laptops, tools and workwear
- Fuel card will be provided
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Engineering Team Lead.
- Electrical experience (preferred)
- Mechanical experience (preferred).
- Applicants should ideally be located within the geographical region advertised.
