We are looking for a caring, reliable and confident support worker to join a small team supporting two individuals in their own home in Chelmsford, Essex.
The individuals you will be supporting has Learning disabilities who will benefit form a consistent team of people who will take the time to build trust, understanding their needs and wants, and to provide high-quality person-centred care.
This role can be very rewarding by the opportunity to support multiple individuals who are all very kind, outgoing and bubbly. Many of the individuals love to watch football and enjoy talking about football. All the individuals loves a conversation about their day and what they have been up to during the week.
You will play an important role within Calm Futures to help our service users live independently, achieve their goals and enjoy the best possible quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
· Providing personalised care and support based on individual needs
· Supporting with daily living activities
· Assisting with personal care where required
· Promoting choice and encouraging independence
· Maintaining accurate care records and following care plans
What a day to day looks like:
· Helping with daily living tasks such as cleaning and cooking
· Take our service users to appointments and activities they have booked
· Help with medications
· Sometimes you may have to deal with challenging behaviours
