Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver furniture items to residential and commercial locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load and unload furniture pieces, utilizing heavy lifting techniques when necessary to ensure safe handling of products
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and answering any questions about their purchase
- Coordinate delivery schedules with the warehouse team to optimize routes and ensure timely arrivals
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and inventory records for all shipments
- Assist in warehouse activities such as organizing stock, preparing items for delivery, and managing inventory when not on the road
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or <PERSON> driver with a strong track record in commercial driving environments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not required
- Experience in warehouse operations and heavy lifting techniques necessary for handling large furniture pieces
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy furniture safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving
- Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and documentation effectively
