Due to company expansion we are currently looking for a nursery manager at our Parkview nursery
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead and oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development. This role offers an opportunity to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive, while ensuring the smooth running of nursery activities. Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently
- Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare services
- Develop and implement educational programmes aligned with early childhood development principles
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote a welcoming environment
- Organise staff rotas, oversee recruitment, and conduct performance appraisals
- Ensure the nursery is well-maintained, organised, and fully equipped for children's needs
- Manage administrative tasks including record keeping, budgeting, and reporting
- Facilitate ongoing staff training and professional development in early childhood education
Qualifications
- Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive knowledge of early childhood education practices and child development stages
- Experience working directly with children and understanding their individual needs
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or outreach activities
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential
- Ability to organise effectively under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
