About the role
We're looking for a reliable Warehouse Worker to join us on a temporary full-time contract through to January. You'll be responsible for receiving and putting away deliveries, keeping stock in its correct bay locations, and making sure the warehouse stays clean, well-merchandised and easy to work in. This role does include working a weekend day.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in an organised, accurate warehouse and is happy working at pace during our busier period.
Key responsibilities
- Goods in: Check off incoming deliveries against paperwork, confirm quantities and condition, and report any shortages, damages or discrepancies promptly.
- Put-away: Move stock from goods-in to its correct bay location.
- Bay location accuracy: Maintain accurate bay locations and stock records.
- Housekeeping: Keep aisles, racking and work areas clean, clear and tidy, disposing of packaging and waste correctly.
- Stock checks: Assist with cycle counts, stocktakes and stock investigations as required.
- Health and safety: Follow all health and safety, manual handling and site procedures, and report hazards or near misses straight away.
- Provide general support to the wider warehouse team, including picking, packing and loading during busy periods.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when checking paperwork and recording stock locations
- Physically able to carry out the role, including regular lifting, bending and being on your feet for the length of a shift
- Reliable timekeeping and good attendance
- Able to work well as part of a team and to communicate clearly with colleagues and drivers
- Comfortable using handheld scanners or basic computer systems (full training provided)
- Previous warehouse, stockroom or goods-in experience
