Job Description:
This Job Description as well as the role outline indicate the main duties and responsibilities of the post. They are not intended as an exhaustive list.
Act as deputy to the Home Manager at all times when they are not onsite. Be responsible for inspections, visits from Healthcare Professionals, relatives etc in the absence of the Home Manager.
To ensure all care plans and risk assessments are up to date, with personalised reporting. To support the Home Manager in ensuring all Key Worker records are updated.
To inform the Home Manager of any changes to the services users care needs or circumstances.
To assist that management, organisation, supervision and appraisal of staff.
Delegate and allocate duties to staff members where appropriate.
Take the lead in supporting the Home Manager with drug change overs, reviews of the pharmacy supplier, audits, administration and change overs. Additionally, to support the manager in re-ordering and stock control.
Person Specification:
To have strong leadership skills, be passionate, dedicated, reliable, enthusiastic and to be able to support management
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Team Player, supporting the Team Leads, with ability to accept responsibilities
Willingness to participate in vocational training programmes
Satisfactory DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check and Adult First
Desirable Experience:
Previous experience of working in a Team Leader/ Management position within a care setting
Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved or working towards) NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
Evidence of having undertaken relevant training (i.e. moving & handling, health & safety, food hygiene, etc.)
Basic understanding of the Health & Safety
Basic understanding of Infection Control
Experience on Nourish and care planning would be desirable
Hours: 36hrs per week
Salary: £15.15 weekdays / £15.65 weekends
