Due to our continued expansion we are looking to recruit a highly skilled and reliable Class 2 Box Wagon driver to join our dynamic team. This position offers a distance driving based role, delivering and collecting hazardous goods throughout the UK.
Applicants can work either 5 or 4 days on request this will reduce the top pay scale but will give a three day weekend.
We require a dedicated individual who is committed to safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport hazardous goods to designated locations throughout the UK.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines for the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate delivers and collections
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation promptly and accurately
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and customers to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 Drivers License
- Valid Driver CPC and Tacho Card
- ADR certification (training can be provided for the right candidate)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in distance driving
- Excellent driving record with no major violations
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Flexibility to work 3/4 nights out per week
- Ability to handle physical workloads and meet delivery deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
ADR is needed for this position but training can be provided for the right candidate.
A very generous Bonus Scheme paid on jobs completed, which subsidises basic pay.
NOTE: Job involves multiple collections throughout the day, and 3/4 nights out per week, collecting Hazardous Waste throughout the UK.
