We design and manufacture battery powered data loggers and electronic pressure controllers for water & gas distribution networks, including intrinsically safe products for use in explosive atmospheres. Working as part of the Production Team, you will be involved in the assembly and testing of a wide range of handheld battery powered data logging services.
Duties Include:
- Under the supervision of your Leading Technician, you will work to a production schedule operating in a busy assembly environment on a variety of processes. You will closely follow Engineering instructions to assemble, test and release to internal Quality Control, intricate and technical electronic equipment.
The successful candidate will:
- Follow detailed engineering instructions to assemble, test, and prepare products for quality inspection
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers and soldering irons (training provided)
- Work across a variety of processes and batch sizes, depending on the product
- Keep accurate records using our computer systems
- Meet production and quality targets in a clean, supportive work environment
Person Specification:
- Hands-on and practical, with good coordination
- Careful and accurate, with great attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers for tasks like entering data or following test instructions
- A clear communicator, and a positive team player
- Flexible and happy to support other departments when needed
Experience & Training:
- Previous electronics or production experience is desirable, but not essential
- Any relevant qualifications (e.g. basic electronics or technology) are welcome
- Full training and mentoring will be provided
