We are seeking an energetic and dependable individual to join our team as a Country Store Yard Person and Animal loving person, who can get involved with Horses, Sheep and Hens , who can turn their hand to anything required. Delivering to local yards on a weekly basis
Responsibilities
Generate sales invoices using an EPOS till system, managing, card and cash payments
- Safely load, unload, and organize products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Drive a 3.5t Van to deliver goods to customers. Most bags weigh 20kg.
- Assist customers with their purchases in person or over the phone, providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the yard area, ensuring safe pathways and proper storage of materials.
- Load and secure cargo for delivery, verifying accuracy against delivery manifests before departure.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
- Support warehouse activities including moving stock within the yard or storage areas using manual lifting or mechanical equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
Skills
- Experience around animals essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly, including moving boxes or equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar machinery; certification is a plus.
