The Role
We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and reliable Sales Assistant to join our team. You will be the face of our showroom, helping customers navigate our wide range of products to find the perfect flooring for their lifestyle and budget.
** Immediate start **
Working 9-5.30pm 5 days a week. Sundays off plus one weekday.
Whether you are an industry veteran or a "people person" looking to learn a new trade, we provide the training and support you need to succeed however experience in flooring sales will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and guide them through our showroom.
Product Expertise: Learn the features and benefits of different flooring types (hardwood, LVP, carpet, etc.) to provide expert recommendations.
Estimates & Quotes: Take basic measurements and calculate costs to provide accurate quotes to customers. Booking free estimates into our CRM diary & sending quotes quickly and efficiently via emails.
Sales Processing: Handle transactions, schedule installations by liaising with our fitting manager and follow up on leads via phone or email.
Showroom Maintenance: Keep samples organised and ensure the showroom looks professional and inviting.
Relationship Building: Foster long-term relationships with local contractors and repeat customers.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Previous retail or sales experience is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are more important!
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Reliability: Punctual and professional with a strong work ethic.
Physical Ability: Ability to be on your feet for parts of the day and lift/move flooring samples.
Tech Savvy: Ability to learn our point-of-sale (POS) system and use basic email/office software.
