Electric Vehicle Powertrain Noise and Vibration (NVH) Test Technician - CONTRACT
Role:
- Installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) powertrain assemblies into a semi-anechoic test cell, prior to NVH research and development testing.
- Installation and removal of measurement instrumentation
- Operation of test cell HV power supply, and motor dynamometer test equipment
- HV electrical system dead-check / vehicle safety inspections
- Strip and rebuild of EV powetrain assemblies
- Mainly workshop and test cell based, with occasional off-site support for testing at vehicle proving grounds.
- Occasional hand fabrication and welding.
- Housekeeping of test facilities and workshop areas
Suitability:
- Vehicle Technician NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years automotive vehicle technician experience, gained within an automotive vehicle manufacturer, main dealer or independent garage workshop environment
- Specific automotive NVH testing experience is highly preferable but not essential
- Forklift Licence - Desireable
- Electric Vehicle Safety Training (e.g IMI Level 3) - Desireable
- Good practical engineering skills, and ability to demonstrate a through knowledge of the mechanical and electrical systems used in automotive vehicles
- Knowledge of, or training on the servicing and maintenance of HV hybrid/electric vehicles highly preferable (e.g. IMI EV Technician Level 2+), but not essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and other team members.
- Good PC Skills (Word, Excel, e.t.c.) - Desireable
- Full UK driving licence (or transferable equivalent)

Contract Details
- 6 Months
- Rate - £22-£25 /hr LTD Co. - Outside IR35
