Job Overview
To provide onsite treatment plant operational expertise, daily checks, sampling, recording of data, ppm completion and assisting / resolving issues for the customer
To support customers operations to improve quality and efficiency
Assist with installation and commission equipment on customers site
The shift pattern for this role will be 4 on 4 off, 10 hour night shifts
We are looking for someone who can start ASAP
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible that the company Health, Safety, Environment and Hygiene policies are adhered to
- Responsible for ensuring the treatment plant is running correctly and efficiently
- Responsible for all required daily checks on the treatment plant
- Responsible for all required sampling
- Responsible for the completion of planned maintenance and ad hoc service
- Responsible for data entry on to the customers computerised maintenance software or documentation for all parts used & jobs raised & completed
- Responsible for housekeeping of all working areas to ensuring that the area remains compliant and is audit ready at all times
- Responsible for your own engineering hand back procedures
- Ensure tools are kept clean and tidy and accounted for at the end of each shift, ensure the toolbox remains locked when unattended or not in use
- Responsible for reporting any damaged or lost tool immediately
- Ensure all work is carried out to specification and that the correct safety standards are met
- Demonstrate a clear teamwork ethos within the customer site engineering / Treatment plant team, the OM support team and across other departments
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and adherence to company procedures
- Chooses the most appropriate method and tools for communication
- Respond promptly and effectively to ensure quick resolution to any issues to minimize any downtime, quality, and efficiency problems
- Participate constructively as a member of the OM Support team, keeping everyone informed and proactively share your knowledge and expertise within the team
- Understand and contribute using a range of risk assessment techniques in order to ensure safety of plant, equipment, and people
- Support a culture that enhances behavioural awareness of quality, safety, and the environment
- Demonstrate good behavioural and safety principles in all activities
- Be adaptable to any shift pattern that the company deems necessary for the business
Skills and Knowledge
- The candidate should understand engineering requirements and preferred if they have experience in water treatment or an FMCG environment
- A good aptitude / understanding of water treatment and mechanical engineering
- Be respectable to others and composed at all time
- Must be a team player
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be determined and able to demonstrate closure of all jobs
- Demonstration of the above through theory and practical assessment, both on the job and off the job and at all times, to act in the best interest of JEMs Environmental
- Competent IT/Computer skills
- Actively seek opportunities for self-development and learning and learns from experiences through self-evaluation
- Attend training courses as identified by legislative / company requirements
Pay: From £36,000.00 per year
