Due to continued expansion, Coach Options Ltd are seeking a reliable, professional and enthusiastic Term Time Minibus Driver to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable, term-time driving position with regular working hours and a rewarding role within the education sector.
You will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring all journeys are completed safely, professionally and punctually. You will be representing Coach Options Ltd so a friendly and professional approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a minibus on designated school routes.
- Transport students and staff safely and punctually between agreed pick-up and drop-off locations.
- Carry out thorough daily/pre-journey vehicle checks and report any defects immediately.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, presentable and in a suitable condition for passengers.
- Maintain excellent communication with school staff and the operations team.
- Assist students when boarding and disembarking where required.
- Follow all relevant road traffic, passenger transport and company safety procedures.
- Complete required journey, mileage and vehicle documentation.
- Report any incidents, delays, defects or concerns promptly.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Ensure the welfare and safety of passengers throughout each journey.
Requirements
- A full UK driving licence with the appropriate entitlement to drive the vehicle. (D1 Entitlement)
- A clean or reasonably clean driving record with no serious or relevant endorsements.
- Previous experience transporting passengers, particularly children or school groups, would be advantageous.
- Excellent punctuality and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, patient and professional approach when dealing with students and school staff.
- Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety procedures.
- Ability to follow set routes and schedules.
- Commitment to providing a safe and high-quality passenger experience.
