Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient handling of materials, stock management, and order fulfilment within our warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to develop their skills further in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas
- Operating forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively
- Managing stock levels using Warehouse Management System (WMS) software to track inventory movements
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch in accordance with company procedures
- Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity
- Performing mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ensuring the workspace is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures
- Valid forklift licence or willingness to obtain one is advantageous
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) or similar software is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently (up to 25kg or more)
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment maintenance is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order accuracy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary

Pay: £25,420.00-£40,168.23 per year
