Responsibilities
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining water supply, drainage, and heating systems in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
- Diagnosing plumbing issues using specialised tools and mechanical knowledge to determine appropriate solutions.
- Cutting, fitting, and assembling pipes using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills.
- Conducting routine inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Assisting with the assembly of plumbing fixtures and related components on-site or in workshops.
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation or repair tasks.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities.
Skills
- Proven experience in plumbing installation and repair work.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to plumbing systems.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical diagrams.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment between sites.
- Experience with assembly processes related to plumbing fixtures or systems is desirable.
