Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and safety
- Support medication administration under supervision or as trained, following proper protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation, social interaction, and emotional well-being
- Manage behavioral challenges with patience and appropriate behavior management techniques
- Provide transportation support by driving clients to appointments or outings when required
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with organizational policies and health regulations
- Respond promptly to emergencies or urgent needs using first aid skills and effective communication with emergency services
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and senior care techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage empathetically with diverse populations including children when applicable
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and perform caregiving tasks throughout shifts
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Pay: £25,420.00-£37,167.30 per year
