Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment and machinery across our facilities. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge, then execute repairs efficiently.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs, assembly, and modifications as required.
- Assist with equipment installation, assembly, and upgrade projects.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large components or machinery parts.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs for compliance and future reference.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, schematics, and assembly procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic maintenance techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical repair or related fields are desirable but not essential. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery fleet, supporting our commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality service delivery.
Pay: £500.00 per week
