Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to run a health and fitness club kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for innovative food preparation. This role involves the execution of all kitchen operations, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced dining environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee menu planning, development, and implementation, incorporating current culinary trends and dietary requirements
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen
- Oversee food handling, preparation, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial kitchen establishments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management
- Extensive culinary experience including menu planning, food safety, and food handling procedures
- Knowledge of inventory management, control systems, and cost management strategies
- Experience in catering, banquet services, or large-scale food service operations is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and experience in dietary department operations is a plus
- Hospitality or restaurant management experience preferred but not required
- The relevant training in food safety is necessary
